Blueberry “Quick-Bread” Loaf

So! This post should have come last week (when I baked the bread), but we were too focused on eating it apparently!

Anyways, you know how sometimes you want a delicious bread in the morning? Something a little sweet but also suitable to eat as a respectable breakfast?! Well, I think I’ve found the best answer – Krusteaz.

They have tons of muffin/bread/crumb cake mixes in delicious flavors like Wild Blueberry, Cranberry Orange, and Lemon Poppyseed, Cinnamon Swirl. I can attest that all of these are delicious and super quick and simple to make.

Their website also lists flavors I haven’t tried yet but now think I need to including Apple Cinnamon, Double Chocolate, and Pumpkin Spice – yummy! They also have lots of other options including multiple pancake, cornbread, cookie, and bar flavors.

Back to my morning and quest for a delicious breakfast bread though…

I had a Wild Blueberry mix on hand, so I whipped it up and into the oven. Then I had 30 minutes to wait…but a watched oven never bakes (or something like that, hehe!). So I decided to work out – it was the perfect amount of time to do one of my favorite yoga routines (a flexibility-focused one on the Gaiam Yoga Studio app – check it out!).

Ding! Breakfast was ready! 🙂

looks so delicious!

This bread is one of my favorites because it hits that sweet spot between breakfast and dessert perfectly! The blueberries (yes, real whole blueberries!) add a freshness and natural sweetness that fit perfectly with the airy bread. It’s also not overwhelmingly blueberry-tasting at all; instead, it’s a light bread with pops of blueberry.

A perfect breakfast! Made even better by a perfect cup of tea 🙂

  1. Looks yummy! I’ve never tried the blueberry mix, but can attest to the joy of the cinnamon swirl mix! 😋 You know I’ve never even seen the other mixes you mentioned- the apple cinnamon, double chocolate or pumpkin spice…..have you? Where do they hide these flavors?

    1. Nice! That’s such a good one.

I think I may have seen the pumpkin spice once in the Fall…can’t remember. In any case, yes, we need to find them!!
