My fiance has a favorite cupcake – Sprinkles’ Margarita Cupcake. I can’t have it unfortunately due to an alcohol allergy (perhaps a post on that later), but every time it’s in the store, we make a trip to get him at least a couple. While the cupcake as a whole makes him very happy, his favorite thing is that it has a salted rim – just like an actual margarita. In addition to just liking salt (haha), he says it enhances the rest of the flavors.

- Only available from May 1 – May 22!!!
One goal of mine for a while has been to try and come up with a homemade version of this elusive delight so my honey doesn’t have to wait an entire year in between “cupcake fixes.” Getting a frosting and cake both to taste like something I can’t have may be a challenge, but I’m looking forward to trying out some recipes (for the record, so is he!)! 🙂
